Fitzroy Falls Conference Centre
Robyn and Martin consider the most vital aspect of their work at the
centre to be the children's Holiday Camps run in the winter school
holidays and all through January.

A charity with it's own committee runs two of these camps, one in
winter and one in summer, specifically for needy kids. Children are
referred through DoCS, Barnardos, Burnside, Family Support, Lone
Parents, Aunties and Uncles, Schools and Churches and they
come at a very low cost or are sponsored through generous
donations from friends, camp leaders themselves, and
organisations.

In 1979, the first camp for children in need was held. This has
developed into a unique ministry, run under the auspices of the
Fitzroy Falls Summer Camp Committee for underprivileged children.
These camps are now also conducted in winter.

January 1980 saw the instigation of Breakaway Camps, run in
conjunction with O.A.C. ministries. Junior and Senior Camps are
now run solely by the Conference Centre and have become
important events in the lives of many young people.

Directors of these camps are all experienced camp workers who
have a wonderful rapport with children. Leaders are drawn from
churches of many denominations both in the local area and other
parts of the state.
